"Steve has been my teacher for 5 years and since my first lesson I have always looked forward to what I may learn in the next one. Steve's teaching style is fun and creative and will appeal to people of all ages. One of the best things about Steve is that after a month of learning piano, you feel you've learned more than you thought you would have learned in a year. Steve is always happy to see you and not only is he your teacher, he also feels like a friend, and that is an amazing quality in anyone dedicating their lives to teaching. He is patient and calm and will understand if you are having a hard time understanding some notes or rhythms, I remember in my first years of learning piano sometimes I would struggle with tempo and timing(I still do on hard songs) Steve would explain to me what I was doing wrong and would help me change it. And believe me you will never want to miss a piano lesson even when you're sick. So, if you want to learn piano, Steve is definitely the best teacher for you ."

"Steve taught our son piano for three years, from age 8-11, at Greenwich House Music School in NYC. His patience, humor and deep understanding of how to teach the instrument helped Nathaniel go from a slightly resistant player to a young musician. Nathaniel's playing and general musicianship improved tremendously with Steve, but the real take away was the joy of playing the piano and the sense that it was a part of him, and would be something he can always turn to throughout his life."

Steve has been teaching my daughter piano for five years. She plays beautifully because Steve is patient and encouraging. He can gage when she needs an extra challenge or when she needs a little more time a piece of music. Steve’s instructions are clear, and he’s great at explaining and showing the various musical concepts, terms, and timing. He makes sure she knows the piece well before moving on to the next piece. I would recommend Steve for any level and age of student.
